Our client, a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a major Sydney Metro project, is seeking experienced Design Coordinators to support the delivery of large-scale station and rail infrastructure works.
About the Role
This role plays a key part in coordinating multidisciplinary design activities across civil and structural packages within a major infrastructure project. You will act as the interface between design consultants, construction teams, and stakeholders to ensure design alignment, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate civil and structural design activities across multidisciplinary teams
* Act as the key interface between consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
* Review design documentation to ensure constructability and compliance with specifications
* Facilitate design coordination meetings to resolve technical issues and clashes
* Ensure alignment of design outputs with project delivery requirements
* Coordinate with BIM and digital engineering teams to manage design models and interfaces
* Support integration of civil, structural, architectural, and services design elements
* Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements
Requirements
* Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
* Proven experience in a Design Coordinator or similar role
* Experience within infrastructure, rail, or major construction projects highly regarded
* Strong understanding of design coordination and project delivery processes
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve complex design issues
* Strong communication and organisational skills
