We are seeking an experienced Supervisor with a strong background in earthworks, civil construction, forestry, or mining operations to lead a timber clearing crew and drive safe, efficient, and productive site operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising production outcomes across a range of timber clearing and processing activities while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and team performance.

About the Role
We're seeking a Site Supervisor with mobile plant experience to take ownership of day-to-day clearing operations across a busy and diverse site. This is a hands-on, client-facing leadership role overseeing:
* Excavator (36t) operators using specialised shearing and sorting attachments
* Clearing dozers
* 40T haul trucks
* Loader operations
* Forestry and shredding crews (as required)
* Maintenance teams
* Site administration
You'll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while maintaining strong communication with clients, workers, and management. You'll also support the business commercially providing reports, managing costs, identifying new work opportunities, and ensuring clear and proactive planning.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise all clearing and associated mobile plant activities on site
* Plan daily and upcoming work, allocating resources efficiently
* Deliver clear communication to workers around job expectations, safety, and progress
* Conduct toolbox talks, pre-starts, and on-site safety leadership
* Monitor performance and compliance with environmental and safety standards
* Prepare daily/weekly site reports and assist with cost tracking
* Liaise with clients and stakeholders, including following up on potential work during quieter periods
* Ensure plant and equipment readiness with maintenance support
* Mentor operators and foster a strong safety culture on site
Skills & Experience
* Supervisory experience in mining, civil, or forestry clearing operations
* Strong knowledge of mobile plant, mine clearing, and forestry practices
* Highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and communicate clearly
* Commercial acumen to support cost management and business development
* Skilled in building relationships with clients and motivating diverse crews
* Safety-first mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
Mandatory Requirements
* S26 – Supervisor Certificate
* White Card
* Current valid driver's licence – HR preferrable
* First Aid (preferred)
* Relevant high-risk work licences and machinery tickets (advantageous)
* TAE Certificate desirable
