This innovative modular housing business at a pivotal stage of growth, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect and leader to drive the creative and technical direction of this residential portfolio. This senior role offers the opportunity to shape a design-led, scalable housing platform that responds to contemporary challenges of affordability, sustainability and speed of delivery.
Known for its commitment to quality, innovation and delivery efficiency, the practice places strong emphasis on architectural rigour and buildable design solutions. This is a pivotal leadership role, balancing hands-on design involvement with strategic oversight. You will work closely with senior stakeholders while being supported by an established team of designers, architects and technical staff. The position offers genuine influence over both design direction and operational outcomes within a progressive modular environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee the design delivery of a large and varied portfolio of residential projects across concept, planning and delivery stages
* Provide strong architectural leadership while remaining actively involved in high-level design work
* Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, architects and draftspeople
* Coordinate design outputs to align with modular and prefabricated construction methodologies
* Ensure design quality, consistency and compliance across planning, permitting and documentation phases
Skills & Experience
* Qualification in Architecture
* Proven senior architectural or design leadership experience within residential projects - modular projects favourable
* Strong design capability with the confidence to lead and produce high-quality architectural outcomes
* Demonstrated experience or strong interest in modular or prefabricated construction systems
* Advanced proficiency using ArchiCAD in a hands-on design environment
* Excellent work ethic with the ability to manage competing priorities and project stages
* Exceptional communication skills
