We have an exciting opportunity for a Leading Hand Mechanical Commissioning Technician to join Powertech on a Renewable Hydrogen Project.
Position Overview
* Role: Leading Hand Mechanical Commissioning Technician
* Start date: ASAP 2026
* Duration: 5–8 months
* Roster: 2x1
* Hours per day: 10.5
* Rate: $105/hr + super on all hours worked
* Point of Hire: Perth; flights covered from any major capital in Australia
Scope of Work
* Execute pre‐commissioning and commissioning tasks
* Commission rotating and static equipment
* Support commissioning of hydrogen‐specific systems
* Lead a team of mechanical technicians during commissioning activities
* Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
* Act as the primary interface between commissioning, construction, and engineering teams
* Mentor junior technicians and enforce best practice
About You
* Qualified Fitter/Mechanical tradesperson
* Proven experience in mechanical commissioning within oil & gas, LNG, or hydrogen projects
* Previous experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role
* Construction White card
* CPR/LVR (Desirable)
* First Aid (Desirable)
