Key Responsibilities
Provide impeccable, personalized, and professional table service to all guests in line with Chef Hat standards.
Demonstrate comprehensive, expert knowledge of the menu, wine list, and beverage offerings, including preparation methods, ingredients, and suggestive pairings.
Assist the Sommelier and management team with maintaining the cellar and beverage program.
Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other service personnel to ensure seamless and efficient service flow.
Process orders and transactions accurately using the POS system.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation in the dining areas.
What We're Looking For (Essential Skills & Experience)
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a fine-dining or Chef Hat/Michelin-starred establishment is mandatory.
Exceptional wine, spirit, and beverage knowledge is essential (WSET qualifications or equivalent are highly regarded).
A current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanour.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine desire to exceed guest expectations.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume, dynamic service environment.
Availability to work a flexible, full-time roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
