Job Description
Clinical specialists in physiotherapy play a pivotal role in achieving optimal patient outcomes. As a clinical specialist physiotherapist, you will lead the development and implementation of clinical research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives within your department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-level specialist physiotherapy clinical service provision, demonstrating expertise in advanced clinical reasoning and practice.
* Lead clinical research and education initiatives, driving excellence in patient care and staff development through best-in-class programs.
* Supervise, teach, and train physiotherapists, allied health assistants, and students to promote professional growth and skill enhancement.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive service development and evaluation, contributing to improved patient outcomes through data-driven insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Post-graduate qualifications and/or demonstrated peer recognition as a specialist through publications and teaching.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice ensures the highest level of patient care.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential for building partnerships and collaborating effectively.
* Extensive clinical specialty knowledge and advanced practice in Neurological, Rehabilitation, or Aged Care Physiotherapy are highly valued.
* Current Authority to Practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA is mandatory.
* An Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2) is also required.
