The Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development Directorate (CMTEDD) play a key role in shaping the ACT's future. As part of our Strategic Finance Division, you'll help deliver high-quality financial advice and reporting that supports decision-making across government.
What you'll do
* Lead and inspire a team of finance professionals.
* Prepare and coordinate internal financial reports.
* Contribute to the Directorate budgets, annual statements and associated documents.
* Partner with business units to help them manage budgets and improve financial performance.
* Drive innovation and process improvements using tools like TM1 and Power BI.
* Contribute to strategic financial planning and reporting for the Directorate.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance and membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Australia are highly desirable.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of three months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency.
A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
