About The Opportunity

The Operator Trainer Assessor (T/A) is a member of a ship-specific Operating Support and Training (OS&T) Team. The Operator T/A contributes to capability Introduction-Into-Service (IIS) by conducting Operating Support Task Analysis, influencing Mission System design and by developing Operating Procedures and Training for a shipbuilding program.

What's Involved

1. Ensure subcontractor and Customer Mission System crews are fully prepared to operate and maintain the Mission System through its transition to customer custody
2. Provide operational leadership, including supervision and mentoring of junior Technical Advisors and mariner trainees
3. Contribute to the development and integration of Mission System operating procedures, training curriculum, and associated technical data
4. Support the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Program by collaborating closely with other ILS disciplines
5. Report to the OS&T Lead and maintain strong coordination across the broader support team

You'll Need

6. TAE 40116 or 40122 CERT IV in Training and Assessment (equivalent or higher)
7. Minimum 3 years' experience in defence maritime operations or technical training (or similar). Experience in drafting procedures and developing training content
8. Experience in shipbuilding or maritime defence projects
9. Certification in Instructional Systems Design or Simulation-Based Training
