Responsibilities 
- Play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with CASA regulations across Qantas Airways and Express Freighters Australia operations 
- Manage operational approvals, aircraft additions, and Safety Management System documentation to support safe and compliant operations 
- Manage the Exposition for Qantas Airways and Freight, along with the associated Safety Management System (SMS); monitor regulatory notifications and prepare supporting documentation for significant and non‑significant business changes 
- Coordinate with CASA Regulatory Services to facilitate new aircraft deliveries and ensure operational readiness in line with aviation legislation 
- Lead safety and compliance-related projects within defined timeframes 
Qualifications 
- 5–10 years’ experience in an operational or compliance role within a high-capacity air transport operator 
- Tertiary qualification – undergraduate degree in aviation, business or law 
- Ability to lead safety and compliance-related projects within defined timeframes 
- Highly developed interpersonal skills; both verbal and written 
- Proven skills in managing a compliance program 
- Experience in facilitating risk assessments 
- Ability to interact in an objective manner with aviation government officials 
- Attention to detail with an ability to adapt to change 
- Technical proficiency to draft position papers and/or summaries of complex regulatory issues
