Fuel Distributors of WA Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to work on our fleet of 35 trucks and 45 dangerous goods trailers.
The position will:
* Service and repair Company trucks and trailers including work on electrics, driveline, transmissions, fuel systems, engines, steering and suspensions, braking and ancillary systems (Kenworth, Volvo's MAN's).
* Undertake breakdown repairs on Company vehicles including off site if required to ensure fleet interruptions are minimised.
* Identify any defects in a timely manner and take necessary actions to control and repair.
* Ensure service and mechanical repairs comply with statutory inspections and Company standards.
* Complete required Company paperwork detailing servicing and repair work undertaken.
* Strive to maintain a clean work area at all times.
* Work as part of a strong team and be part of an on-call roster.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
To be considered for this position candidates will need to have:
* Recognised trade qualifications (Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or Vehicle Mechanic).
* Previous experience in truck service workshop operations.
* Have experience using Tech Tool and Insite.
* Strong diagnosis skills including using wiring diagrams and executing repairs.
* HC Licence (or ability to obtain) is essential.
* Ability to obtain Dangerous Goods (DG) Licence.
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
* Have high personal standards in relation to quality of work.
* Hold a current licence with clean driving record.
