Role Overview
The Head of Services is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and leading service delivery operations, ensuring high-quality participant outcomes, operational efficiency, and compliance with NDIS requirements. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role provides strategic and operational leadership across service delivery, administration, and workforce management, while fostering a positive, person-centred, and strengths-based workplace culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong teams, and delivering high-quality disability services. The role is full-time and based at the organisation's Gold Coast office, with responsibility for being the first point of contact to support and coordinate on-call staff as required.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Operations
* Lead and oversee day-to-day service delivery to ensure participant needs are met safely, consistently, and to a high standard.
* Oversee rostering, provide coordination and support to on-call staff, overtime monitoring, and billable hours to ensure operational efficiency.
* Provide leadership, supervision, and support to service delivery and administration teams.
* Manage recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary processes in collaboration with HR.
* Promote staff wellbeing and proactively address psychosocial hazards.
* Foster accountability, professional communication, and continuous improvement across teams.
Quality, Compliance & Reporting
* Lead quality assurance, audits, and risk management activities.
* Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, policies, and reporting requirements.
* Prepare service performance reports and operational updates for the Executive Director.
* Oversee participant documentation, care plans, risk assessments, and reviews.
Strategic Management & Business Support
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and service development.
* Support business growth activities and stakeholder engagement as directed.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, support workers, and external stakeholders.
* Provide regular updates to the Executive Director on service delivery, staff performance, and strategic initiatives.
About You
You are an experienced and confident service leader with a strong background in NDIS service delivery. You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable working closely with senior leadership to drive quality outcomes.
You will bring:
* Proven leadership experience in disability, community services, or a similar sector.
* Strong knowledge of NDIS systems and compliance requirements.
* Experience managing teams, rostering, performance, and operational risk.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A commitment to person-centred, strengths-based, and recovery-focused practice.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant qualifications and/or substantial experience in disability or community services
* Current Australian driver's licence
* NDIS Worker Screening
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience using care management systems and digital platforms
