At Woy Woy Peninsula Community Child Care, we aim to provide children with beautiful and natural child care environments both inside and outside of our service where we can nurture the whole child and their love and passions as well as their intrigue to explore and investigate the world around them. We are a community based service where we not only value our educators, families and children but also the whole community around us.
About our service
We are a 42 place service and are open for 48 weeks of the year. Our hours are 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday to Friday and are closed for public holidays. We are closed for 3-4 weeks over the Christmas break. We cater for children from 2-5 years of age, across two rooms.
We provide both long care day and preschool days within our operating hours and pride ourselves on delivering a proven, positive and effective curriculum with dedicated and experienced educators whilst working alongside our families to help develop strong working relationships.
About the role
As a Diploma, strong Certificate lll, Early Childhood Teacher trained Educator or cook, you will play a vital role in developing our children's love for learning through exploration, experimentation, natural play spaces and much more. This is a casual role which can possibly lead into part time or full time work for the right applicant.
Applicants should demonstrate relevant experience in early childhood education to support children's development and learning outcomes.
* Have a love and passion for children and creating stimulating learning environments based on children's interests, needs and development.
* Assist in the daily routine, practices and procedures, whilst supporting other team members with children's learning, observations and documentation.
* Ability and confidence to create meaningful connections with families, children and Educators on a daily basis.
* Have a vast understanding of the EYLF and the National Quality Standards.
* Have a thorough understanding of child protection and child safety
* Hourly rate based on the current award
Qualifications
* Currently hold an Early Childhood Teachers Degree, Diploma or Certificate lll in Children's Services
* Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Asthma Management Certificates
* Current Working With Children Check and Police Check
* Current safe food handling certificate
* Current Child Protection Training
* Ability to between the hours of 730am-530pm
