Accounting is a key aspect of every business, and as an Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of this function.



Job Description:

This role is within the Finance team and involves managing invoices, payments, and reconciliations to maintain strong vendor relationships and support business operations. You will work with high volumes of transactions, ensure accuracy and adherence to approval workflows, and collaborate with the AP Team Lead as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Process and manage invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner
2. Resolve discrepancies or delays promptly and efficiently
3. Maintain organized filing systems and records
4. Perform reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and integrity
5. Manage vendor payment queries and communicate effectively with vendors
6. Assist with period-end reconciliations, audit preparations, and compliance reporting
7. Contribute to improving processes and maintaining data integrity


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* Experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a construction or related field
* Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of transactions accurately and efficiently
* Knowledge of accounts payable processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
* Excellent communication skills to engage with internal teams and vendors
* A proactive, collaborative attitude and a passion for learning and development
