Protective and Safety Services (PASS) is a leading provider of Safety, Training, Emergency and Medical Response Services across high-risk industries including mining, oil & gas, renewables, construction and major infrastructure projects.
As demand for our training services continues to grow, we are seeking qualified and experienced Trainers / Assessors to join our team on a casual or contract basis.
This opportunity suits industry professionals who are passionate about safety, practical training delivery, and developing real-world capability in students and workforces.

About the Role
As a PASS Trainer / Assessor, you will deliver nationally accredited training across a range of safety, rescue and emergency response disciplines. Delivery occurs at our training facilities, on client sites across Victoria, and occasionally interstate.
This role offers flexibility and variety, making it well suited to professionals working shift rosters, operational roles, or those seeking additional training work.
Work volume will vary depending on client demand and your availability.

Training Units (One or More)
We are seeking trainers with competency and experience to deliver one or more of the following:
* RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces
* RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights
* MSMWHS216 – Operate breathing apparatus
* MSMWHS217 – Gas test atmospheres
* UETDRMP007 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
* MSMPER300 – Issue work permits
* MSMWHS201 – Conduct hazard analysis
* Fire Extinguisher / Fire Warden / Chief Warden training
Course durations range from ½ day to 2 days.

Highly Regarded Experience
Demonstrated industry experience and training delivery capability in Working at Heights and Confined Space operations is highly regarded.
This may include experience across high-risk work environments such as:
* Confined spaces
* Working at heights
* Industrial and construction sites
* Mining, oil & gas, or energy environments
* Complex or controlled work environments requiring permits and hazard controls
Training programs typically range from ½ day to 2 days, depending on scope and client requirements.
Applicants are not required to hold or deliver all competencies listed. Trainer allocation is based on individual industry background, competencies held, and demonstrated training capability.

Locations & Travel
* Training delivery occurs at PASS facilities and client sites
* Work is conducted across regional and metropolitan Victoria, with interstate travel at times
* Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential

Essential Requirements
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
(TAE40122 or TAE40116)
* Industry competency and demonstrated experience in the units delivered
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Sound time management and administration skills
* Ability to maintain accurate training records
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Current Working With Children Check
* Ability to obtain a clear National Police Check
* Australian residency with unrestricted work rights
All successful trainers will complete PASS onboarding and internal systems familiarisation.
