This role supports the Directors of Prevocational Education and Training (DPETs) in delivering high-quality education and training for junior doctors, including interns and residents. The successful candidate will foster junior medical officer (JMO) wellbeing in line with the NSW Health JMO Wellbeing and Support Plan, while ensuring trainees are equipped to deliver safe and effective patient care.

Working with the DPETs, the MESO will provide support to Prevocational Trainees as per the HETI framework and requirements. They will also ensure that JMO wellbeing is fostered in line with the NSW Health JMO wellbeing and support plan. The MESO will be responsible for the management and administration of the payroll of the Network 2/Prevocational Trainees at Bankstown – Lidcombe Hospital, including the development and implementation of payroll functions, updating HealthRoster and fostering positive relationships with medical staff, facilitating prevocational training, and communicating with agencies including HETI, the Medical Board of Australia, Medical Colleges, and other government bodies. They will work closely with the JMO Manager and provide administrative support to ensure prevocational trainees have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality and safe patient care.
