Amazon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Jandakot, Perth. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You'll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long‐term improvements to reduce downtime. We are hiring shift positions, working on a 4‐day roster (10‐hour shifts). These roles are entitled to annual leave and penalty rates where applicable.
Key job responsibilities
* Complete proactive and preventative maintenance on site equipment
* Diagnose and repair equipment faults in a live warehouse environment
* Implement long‐term solutions to reduce future downtime
* Use specialized tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
* Follow and promote Health & Safety standards
Basic Qualifications
* Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Certificate III in Engineering or Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
* Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
* Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
* Ability to read and understand electrical / mechanical drawings
* Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
* Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with CMMS systems
* Experience with sortation machines
* Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
* Experience with print and apply machines
