About the role:
We are currently seeking experienced Auto Electrician’s to join the maintenance team at our Wilpinjong Mine.
Our Wilpinjong Mine is an open-cut mine located 58 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets. Wilpinjong uncovers and mines coal utilising dozer push and truck and shovel methods and last year sold 14 million tons of coal. The fleet at Wilpinjong mine includes CAT 789, 793, 785 and Terex MT400 trucks, 16M & 14M graders, D10 and D11 dozers and Liebherr 9350, 9400,CAT 6060 and Hitachi 5500 excavators.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will complete planned and unplanned maintenance of Peabody mining equipment as directed by the Leading Hand / Supervisor to the required standards. You will also comply with all site and statutory OH&S; regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others including the use of site safety systems.
Duties will include:
Completing both scheduled and breakdown servicing on a variety of mining machineryFault finding, conducting repairs, undertake preventative maintenanceMinimise production downtimeActively engage in the continuous improvement programEnsure all Peabody safety procedures are followed to maintain a safe workplace

About you:
The successful candidate will have an Auto Electrician Trade Qualification and proven knowledge conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA’s, Risk assessments and Permits. They will also have:
Post-trade experience, preferably working on mobile equipmentCertificate III in Automotive ElectricalAir Conditioning system servicing and licenceExcellent diagnostic and schematic reading knowledgeHigh level of initiative and flexibilityA demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and safety as a way of lifeWork well within a team environmentDemonstrated ability to work on a rotating shift or permanent day basis
