About the Role
You will be responsible for cleaning residents' apartments and public areas according to a schedule and established procedures, and perform all laundry duties in our commercial laundry facilities.
Required Experience
High school diploma and/or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior housekeeping experience preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Cleans all areas as assigned according to the departmental standards, process, and procedures.
Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas as directed, according to established standards, observing proper cleaning technique.
Make independent decisions and follow instructions; deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and general public.
Follow written and oral instructions concerning mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
Relate information concerning a resident's condition.
Use supplies economically; report supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishment.
Operate machines such as buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and all commercial laundry equipment.
Additional duties as assigned or needed by Housekeeping Lead.
Working Conditions
Standing for long periods; read, write, and speak fluent English; communicate effectively with others; sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment; reach with hands and arms; review detailed documents and read computer screens; occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds; appropriate interaction with others; moderate noise level; occasional travel to different locations.
