Volunteer Retail Assistant – The Salvation Army – (Non‐paid)
About The Role
You will support the daily operations of a Salvos Store by greeting customers, processing donated goods, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Greet customers with a warm, friendly, and approachable attitude to create a positive shopping experience.
* Assist customers with inquiries, providing clear and helpful information.
* Support the Donor Care Program by receiving donated goods and communicating with donors.
* Process donated items according to production guidelines, accurately pricing them for sale in store.
* Stock and display priced items on the sales floor, ensuring neat and organized presentation.
* Assist visual merchandising to enhance the store's appearance.
* Maintain cleanliness of items, the sales floor, and staff areas to ensure a tidy workplace.
* Follow waste management guidelines in line with sustainable practices.
* Ensure safety for customers, visitors, and staff by adhering to safe work practices.
* Prioritize health and safety by caring for yourself and others around you.

Volunteers must be 15 years of age and older. This volunteer role is not a paid position.
