* Role Type: Permanent Part-time (32 Hours Per Week)
* Role Grade: Allied Health Level 4 (Social Worker, Counsellor, Senior Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist)
* Department and Location: Alcohol and Drug Service
* Salary: $121,658 - $147,107 (Pro-rata) + Super + Salary packaging

About the Role
The Contact Centre is a 24/7 Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) brief advice and counselling service within St Vincent's Hospital Sydney's Alcohol and Drug Service. It delivers several recognised statewide helplines, including the Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS), the Stimulant Treatment Line (STL), the Opioid Treatment Line (OTL), and the Early Drug Diversion Initiative (EDDI).
What you do:

* Provide senior clinical leadership through mentoring, advanced clinical expertise, and delivery of high-quality training to the multidisciplinary Contact Centre workforce and relevant internal and external stakeholders who deliver a 24/7 statewide call centre for AOD brief advice and counselling.
* Chair the Contact Centre's Clinical Review Meeting, facilitate peer-based client review processes, and contribute to clinical governance activities within the Alcohol and Drug Service, including collaboration with partner services to support best-practice care pathways.
* Ensure high-quality clinical documentation that meets organisational standards, supports continuity of care for repeat and complex callers, and informs shared care, referral pathways, and sector-wide practice development.
* Lead and contribute to quality improvement, auditing, research, and service development activities, including planning, implementing, evaluating, and reporting on clinical initiatives in partnership with internal teams and external service providers.
* Identify and address opportunities to enhance clinical practice, strengthen workforce capability, and support training needs; lead quality monitoring activities (including for regular and complex callers); and provide orientation and training to new and existing staff across the service and in collaboration with sector stakeholders.
* Maintain advanced professional practice through ongoing development, clinical supervision, and flexible contribution to broader Alcohol and Drug Service and cross-sector initiatives.


About You

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or other behavioural sciences and AHPRA registration/eligibility for membership of the professional association as appropriate to the profession.
* Demonstrated relevant clinical alcohol and drug experience including assessment, brief intervention and counselling clients with substance use and co-existing mental health issues.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of best practice methods/frameworks for alcohol and other drugs and their application in brief interventions in the context of telephone based and online support services.
* Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical consultancy and support to multidisciplinary staff including nursing, social work and counselling professional backgrounds.
* Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills including ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks.
* High level computer skills, including using Microsoft Office and capacity to navigate databases, electronic client record and telephony systems.
