Overview
In this role, the Technical Analyst plays a key part in delivering reliable, customer focused IT services across Knox City Council. Reporting to the Infrastructure Lead, the position is responsible for supporting day to day operations while also contributing to the delivery of small to medium projects that improve systems, processes and user experience.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders across all business units, as well as external vendors and service providers, to ensure technology solutions meet operational needs. A strong focus is placed on collaboration, problem solving and continuous improvement, with an expectation that the role will proactively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Responsibilities
* Managing and resolving support requests, maintaining core systems and infrastructure.
* Contributing to project delivery from scoping through to implementation.
* Ensuring documentation and processes are kept up to date.
* Supporting vendor coordination and maintaining system availability, security and performance.
* Balancing competing priorities, applying practical problem-solving skills, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to deliver customer-focused outcomes through collaboration, taking ownership of client needs and applying strong problem-solving and lateral thinking skills.
* Proven experience managing small to medium IT projects, including developing scopes and briefs, and delivering outcomes within agreed parameters.
* Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, desktop environments, printers and end-user devices.
* Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, contribute to a high-performing team and adapt positively to change and evolving operational structures.
* A strong commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
* Active participation in Council's performance, development and review process (Workforce Development Plan), with a focus on personal growth, performance and contribution to team success.
* Willingness to undertake other duties within the scope of skills, competence and training.
Details
This is a Full-Time permanent position, based at the Civic Centre in Wantirna South with hybrid working arrangements. The remuneration for this role is $110,732 - $124,189 plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
