Senior HR Leadership Opportunity – Make an Impact

Join QEII Jubilee Hospital as a Principal Consultant and lead a high-performing HR team delivering contemporary people management advice to senior leaders. This 12-month temporary opportunity is ideal for an experienced HR professional ready to influence workforce culture, capability and outcomes in a complex healthcare environment.


About This Role

As the Principal Consultant, you will lead a team of HR practitioners delivering contemporary people management advice across QEII Hospital. You will partner with senior leaders and act as an escalation point for complex employment and industrial matters, supporting workforce capability and organisational outcomes.


Key Responsibilities Include

* Leading and developing a team to deliver high-quality HR and people management services
* Managing and overseeing complex employment, industrial, performance and injury management matters
* Providing expert, practical advice to executives and senior leaders on legislation, policy and workforce issues
* Driving continuous improvement in HR systems, processes and leadership capability


About You

You are an experienced and trusted HR professional who brings sound judgement, strong leadership capability, and a collaborative approach to people management. You are comfortable navigating complexity and providing clear, practical advice in a large, dynamic environment. You will have demonstrated:

* Extensive experience managing complex and sensitive people management, industrial and employment matters
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build capability within a professional HR team
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence advising senior leaders
* A solid understanding of legislative, industrial and policy frameworks, with a focus on contemporary practice

Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital:

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24‑hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.

We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
