We are a well-established child protection Supervised Contact Agency in Australia, committed to working with families and children in need. Our mission is to create safe spaces to ensure positive interactions between children and their parents or family members.
Role Overview:
This role is vital in supporting relationships between children and their parents, particularly during high-conflict and stressful situations. You will facilitate safe and meaningful interactions between children and the parent they do not live with, following court orders or parenting agreements. You will compile a report using a provided template based on your observations during the visit. These interactions typically occur in safe, child-friendly community settings, such as parks, playgrounds, libraries, or play centres and sometimes parents' homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend contact visits and supervise interactions between children and their parents/family members.
* Prepare a detailed report of interactions for each visit.
* Communicate professionally and empathetically with parents and children.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a reliable and professional Supervised Contact Worker/Social Worker to join our compassionate team, who has:

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*
1. Ability to defuse escalating situations and manage difficult behaviours.
*
1. Has a current Working with Children Check, Police Check, and First Aid certificate.
*
1. Experienced in working with children and families, with an understanding of child development, mandatory reporting, child protection, and family/domestic violence laws.
*
1. Has relevant tertiary qualifications in fields such as social work, education/child care, community services, or youth work (minimum Cert III). Welcoming returning-to-work parents or mature-age candidates with relevant experience.

1. Proven ability to establish rapport and effectively engage with children, young people, and their parents or caregivers.
*
1. Have a reliable car, with a current driver's license and good driving record. (We require RMS statement)

1. Available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, including a minimum of 12 hours on weekends.
