**About the Role**
Bennco currently have a position available for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our Capital Projects division on multiple projects across the Pilbara. The position is to support and advise our site based Project Managers and Supervisors, and to implement and maintain HSEQ procedures and processes on site, while providing guidance and training to site project staff to ensure continuing compliance with project HSEQ requirements.
This role is responsible for maintaining legislative, statutory, client and Bennco Group requirements for all OHSE issues on the project site, in addition to coordinating site inductions and training, including VOC assessments as required.
**Current Projects**
The projects are located in the Brockman and Greater Hope Downs regions of the Pilbara, Western Australia accessed by an approximate 1 and a half hour flight from Perth. Our West Angelas project consists of the complete installation of new potable water network to facilitate the camp, with 2 years work in our pipeline. Our Brockman project will see Bennco facilitate the upgrading of 8000 camp rooms, with a total of four years worth of work in the pipeline.
**Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to**:
- Be actively involved with the implementation and maintenance of project HSEQ Management Plans, Level 2 Risk Assessments, OHSE Procedures and Forms through consultation with all site personnel and client
- Work in conjunction with the Site Project Team and to ensure the site HSEQ requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with Bennco Group HSEQ Project Plan, Client and WHS Statutory requirements.
- Ensure that all employees, management, contractors and visitors are aware of their obligations, policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety.
- Formulate safe methods of work in consultation with the Site Supervisors, Project Manager, Client Representative and workforce personnel as required;
- Conduct HSEQ inspections and be actively involved with HSEQ audits. Conduct inspections with Client representatives as required.
- Actively promote methods to identify, eliminate or control hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain accurate HSEQ statistics. HSEQ reports shall be provided both externally to the Client and internally to the Site Project Manager, Capital Project Operations manager and Bennco Group General Manager
- Conduct pre-start/toolbox meeting training and awareness material as required
- Assist in the creation and implementation of site specific safe working practices
- Support and drive management goals to meet Health, Safety and Environmental KPIs and performance objectives.
- Be Responsible for emergency procedures, fire safety arrangements & policies relating to the site.
- Ensure workplace incidents and injuries are fully investigated and provide
- recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Perform other duties within the organization that may be necessary to suit operational requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate record keeping of all training, inductions and assessments conducted, along with any other relevant documents where required.
- Continually monitor and manage training requirements of all operators to
- ensure skills requirements are met.
- Take responsibility for your own safety, uphold the Company OHS&E policies and participate in Company HSEQ initiatives.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma Work Health and Safety (highly regarded)
- Cert IV WHS (formerly OHS).
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- 5+ years' experience in the Construction industry..
- High Risk Work License (Worksafe Certificate) (2008).
- OHS Construction Induction Card.
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite.
- Current Provide First Aid & CPR Training, or willing to obtain
- Minimum "c" class driver license
