Heavy Vehicle Drivers required
· HR, HC & MC opportunities available across day, afternoon and night shift

Due to continued growth we have a range of opportunities available across multiple depots including wharf cartage (skel / side loader), LCL (tray top / tautliner), tipper, and refrigerated transport. On top of the award rates we pay additional daily allowances including:
* Paperwork allowance – just complete and submit your paperwork on time
* If your refrigerated load contains hanging meat (requiring manual handling) you'll be paid extra.
* If you operate a side loader, carry dangerous goods, or operate our by-product (offal) tippers you'll be paid an above award allowance on a daily basis too.
We seek candidates who possesses HR, HC or MC Class licences, are physically fit, and capable of undertaking varied activities dependant on the task which can include:
* operating manual and / or electric pallet jacks
* multiple drop deliveries
* manual handling
* winding trailer legs
* locking and unlocking container pins
* opening and closing container doors
* operating tautliner curtains
* securing general freight
* side loader operation (engaging chains etc)
* tipper operation
* cold chain activities – fitting pads, temperature checking and recording etc.
You must have a solid work ethic, be reliable and punctual, have a positive attitude, and the desire to provide great customer service. Overtime will be required from time to time to get the job done. If you have experience in general freight but are interested in learning more about refrigerated, tipper or side loader operations we'd like to hear from you – we offer additional training and upskilling to candidates who meet our development criteria.
Current vacancies include:
HR or HC – Day shift - local refrigerated operations. Early start and early finishes, over award allowances paid, some manual handling required.
HR or HC – Regional SA refrigerated operations. Various regular runs departing Monday – Saturday, same day trips or overnight stays, manual handling required.
HR or HC - Night shift – hanging meat – Monday to Friday night, from Murray Bridge to the Adelaide metropolitan area. Must be licensed to drive a manual or have held an automatic license for 2+ years and be willing to upgrade. Requires manual handling / lifting at times.
HC or MC – Day shift – container transport – skell and sideloader operators. Accessing the wharf and empty parks, delivering to local, outer metropolitan and regional receivers. MSIC card required. Various start and finish times depending on the specific task.
HC or MC – Day shift – tipping skel & general tipper operations. Various start and finish times depending on the specific task.
HC or MC – afternoon shift – tipper transport. Ex a metropolitan chicken processing plant to a regional processing facility. Must be able to handle working around animal by-product (offal) and looking for regular, ongoing shifts.
MC – linehaul operators. If you're an experienced driver who prefers the open road to city driving we have regular loads across several interstate lanes on an ongoing basis.
To be considered for these roles you:
* Have a current heavy vehicle licence, class HR or higher, for at least two years;
* Are a capable and confident driver able to safely drive, reverse, and park to pass our internal VoC (verification of competency) process;
* Have general freight experience with a good understanding of pre start checks and load restraint;
* Understand transport compliance legislation in regards to driving hours and mass (load weights)
* Are willing to undergo a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol screening;
* Are an Australian citizen or have Permanent Residency with unrestricted working rights;
* Possess clear verbal and written communication skills.
* A Forklift License is advantageous but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $32.06 – $46.69 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
