We are currently recruiting a strategic Business Development Sector Specialist. This role has been designed to strengthen engagement across key market sectors, including government, mining and resources, building and the real estate environment.
Your Role
* Develop and execute targeted business development strategies for priority sectors.
* Maintain key market knowledge - tracking initiatives, budget cycles, and regulatory shifts.
* Build relationships with key stakeholders including executives, legal procurement officers, and advisors.
* Monitor procurement activity and legislative developments to uncover new legal service opportunities.
* Identify and qualify cross-practice opportunities for legal engagement.
* Act as a strategic bridge between BD and legal teams, ensuring sector insights inform client strategy.
About You
You're a relationship-driven BD professional with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach. Ideally, you bring experience from the legal or professional services sector and have worked in environments where influencing senior stakeholders is key.
In Order To Succeed In This Role, You'll Need
* Proven success in securing legal service engagements and building lasting client relationships.
* 5+ years' experience in business development, client management, or strategic marketing within professional services.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
* High-level writing and presentation skills for proposals, tenders and strategic documents.
* Proficiency in CRM platforms and BD analytics tools.
* Experience in or with law firms or legal departments is highly desirable.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Marketing, Public Policy or a related field is preferred.
