What you'll do:
- Deliver nationally accredited and non-accredited training including Blue Card, Load Restraint, and more.
- Assess driver competency under the Vocational Education Training Framework and Verification of Competency (VOC) Program to the required standard and within set timeframes.
- Induct drivers in operating procedures and familiarize them with specific vehicles and equipment for safe operation.
- Assess driver competency as part of pre-employment checks, and report outcomes and actions within expected timeframes.
- Induct and onboard drivers in TGE operational procedures and equipment.
- Facilitate classroom-based sessions as part of our RTO (TLI).
- Contribute to the design, coordination, and continuous improvement of training content and materials.
- Support internal initiatives such as mentoring under Women in Transport and Site Instructor programs.
- Assist with incident investigations and implement corrective training actions.
- Maintain accurate training records within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Ensure all work complies with RTO and ASQA standards and requirements.
About you:
- Experience delivering driver training with a passion for helping others grow.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
- Multi Combination and Forklift License (Essential).
- Desirable: Dangerous Goods experience, Side Loader license, Reach Stacker license, Transport and Logistics qualifications, Driver Instructor accreditation, 3+ years in a Driver Trainer role or heavy vehicle driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation including Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management, and safe driving practices.
- Experience using LMS and business tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Able to travel when needed.
