Our client is a well-regarded and award-winning firm on the Gold Coast seeking an experienced Senior Associate / Special Counsel to join their Family Law team.
About the role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of matters across all aspects of family law. You will also support and mentor members of the team, taking on a true leadership role at the firm. Day-to-day duties will involve:
Managing the current team and strategising future growth.
Providing expert advice on family law matters (including complex property and children's matters).
Drafting advice, court documents and correspondence to clients, solicitors and other stakeholders.
Attending client conferences, mediations and trials.
Skills & Experience
You will have extensive experience in family law (including property and children's matters), and bring:
the ability to mentor and lead lawyers in a team.
post-admission experience as a Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Partner in Family Law.
experience appearing and instructing Counsel on matters.
Drive to step-in to a true leadership position.
Strong drafting, communication and advocacy skills.
While the firm is based on the Gold Coast, they are also open to candidates who need to be based in Brisbane or interstate.
A transparent framework around path to Partnership (for Senior Associates and Special Counsel), and path to equity (for Partners).
