SEO Copywriter Overview
This role is for a proven SEO Copywriter who wants to take their career to the next level, getting hands‐on experience working with big-name brands and implementing award‐winning level content strategies. We firmly believe in the power of storytelling and that content for humans should be written by humans. You'll be supported and nurtured to produce written copy that drives leads, sales and results for our clients, while also being work that you can be proud of.
You will also be mentored by some of Australia's best SEO professionals who have 15+ years of experience in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Producing SEO‐optimised landing page content across a variety of industries.
* Writing evergreen articles and thought‐leadership pieces that stand the test of time.
* Writing high‐converting ad copy for Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and TikTok Ads using a scientific approach to A/B testing.
* Creating eCommerce Product, Category and Service Page copy to grow client revenue.
* Improve content based on client feedback and metrics to drive perpetual improvement.
* Shaping the internal agency's content strategy.
Required Experience & Skills
* 2+ years of copywriting and content production experience, preferably in a digital marketing agency.
* You have a solid understanding of how SEO works, including how sites are ranked, the role that content plays in SEO, as well as what can be optimised (and how).
* You have excellent attention to detail and are able to produce content that aligns with tone of voice guidelines.
* Strong written language skills with the ability to polish content to achieve our client's goals.
* You're a natural storyteller, you have the ability to digest briefs and turn them into polished pieces of copy that are engaging and outcome‐driven.
* You have experience in leading SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEOSurfer, SEMRush, Copyscape, etc., to help craft the 'why' behind your content.
* You're confident to share your professional opinion, you're goal and outcomes‐oriented.
* You're a self‐starter with an innate curiosity who is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
* You have a proven portfolio of work that you are proud of.
Role Growth
Working closely within the SEO team, you'll get to learn first‐hand from some of the best digital marketing minds in the industry. You'll be shown how to further improve your craft to ensure every piece of copy you produce is outcome‐driven.
As the copy team is built out, the path for this role is progressing to the role of Copy Editor, managing the workstream and editing other copywriters' work for quality assurance. There will be access to further upskill in leadership and technical skills through internal and external training to make this possible.
