About the Role
We seek a Fire Suppression - Leading Hand or someone willing to relocate to Mount Isa. This role requires providing product support and technical services to customers alongside our Fire Suppression products. You will guide and support Fire Suppression Technicians while estimating, quoting, and planning fleets.
The Fire Suppression Business maintains quality objectives and promotes business through exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities
* Train and coach Fire Suppression Technicians and assist in training and accreditation for installation of fire suppression systems;
* Estimating and quoting of jobs for customers; assisting with paperwork for Service coordination;
* Adhere to all policies & procedures, especially EHS policies;
* Support technicians from other regions and assist in training;
* Perform fault diagnosis, maintain, and install Fire Suppression systems;
* Work effectively in a team environment or autonomously;
* Be highly developed in communication and interpersonal skills;
* Identify opportunities for business growth and actively participate in sales activities;
* Assist with machine audits/inspections;
* Internal Sandvik product accredited certification will be provided;
About You
You will have strong customer relation skills and effective teamwork experience. You must be flexible to work with customer requirements, follow all safety policies, and possess a positive attitude and determination to achieve targets set for customer satisfaction.
A background in fire suppression systems applicable to underground installations, along with Mobile Fire Suppression system installation and service experience, is beneficial. Accreditation by the Fire Protection Association (FPA) is highly sought after. Leadership experience in a trade-based role (fitter and tuner or boiler maker) who is willing to learn fire suppression systems is also encouraged to apply.
