Communications Manager, Project Lead

About the role

This is a hands‐on communications role at the heart of a major transformation program within BOQ's Retail Bank. As Communications Manager, Project Lead, you'll work closely with the Senior Product Manager, Transformation, owning end‐to‐end communications for a large‐scale banking migration and enabling customers and frontline teams to navigate complex product and platform changes with clarity.

You'll lead the design and delivery of customer and staff communications across multiple channels, including email, SMS, direct mail, FAQs, landing pages, in‐app messaging and internal content. Working closely with Product, Change, Digital, Marketing, Contact Centre and Risk teams, you'll translate complex product and regulatory change into clear, plain‐English messaging that puts the customer first.

In this role you'll also manage communications across multiple migration cohorts and key moments—before, during and after migration—ensuring messages are clear, well‐sequenced, consistent and timely. You'll play a critical role in governance and risk, partnering with Legal and Compliance to ensure every communication is accurate, approved and fit for purpose.

We are looking for someone who thrives in fast‐moving environments, influences and shapes outcomes through problem solving and cross‐functional collaboration, and sees their work make a real difference to customer experience.

About you

You're a strong communicator who thrives on turning complexity into clarity. You're comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and know how to bring people together to land the right outcome, even when priorities shift or information is still evolving.

You bring experience delivering customer communications in complex or regulated environments, and you're naturally detail‐oriented, with a strong sense of accountability for accuracy and risk. You're organised, structured and able to juggle multiple workstreams at once, without losing sight of the customer experience.

* Enjoys influencing and partnering across cross‐functional teams, including Product, Change, Risk, Legal and Digital
* Has strong written and verbal communication skills and a passion for plain language, customer‐first messaging
* Looking to project‐manage and own end‐to‐end communication programs, timelines and approvals
* Brings a proactive, solutions‐focused mindset and takes ownership of outcomes
* Adapts well in environments with ambiguity, change and competing priorities

Experience

Experience within financial services or large transformation programs is highly regarded, but above all, you're someone who cares about doing things well, supporting teams through change, and delivering communications that genuinely help customers feel informed and supported.
