Casual Position Overview
Home Support Workers help our clients with:
Personal care such as showering, grooming, or assistance with dressing.
Social support with companionship or attending to the community for appointments or recreational activities.
Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
Domestic assistance such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, or light household cleaning and assistance.
Recording attendance through a smartphone application, as well as a summary of tasks completed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate would be proactive in supporting individuals with unique needs and preferences in their daily activities. Commitment to work arrangements that meet the physical, psychological, and social support needs of clients is essential. We offer flexibility for work within school hours with casual positions. Our goal is to roster with permanent shifts, so reliability and effective communication are crucial for success in this role.
Home Support Workers Are Required To Have
National Police Check (less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
Driver’s License.
Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline (Aged Care, Disability, Home and Community Care, Personal Assistance).
Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.
NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.
Remuneration
Good Works for Australia offers SCHADS award wages with additional allowances proportional to the jobs attended for casual home support workers. Remuneration consists of a base rate for disability and aged care services, plus allowances and reimbursements.

Registered, road-worthy, and insured vehicle.
Availability of at least 3 days a week.
Ability to perform tasks outlined in the position overview.

Previous experience in a similar role.
