About the Position
The Physiotherapist works as part of the Allied Health team across multiple areas, providing physiotherapy assessment and interventions to the Acute Ward, Barrabill Health Aged Care Facility, Outpatients (SACS), Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, Hydrotherapy and HARP.
Seymour Health seeks a skilled Physiotherapist to practice as a multi-skilled member of a multi-disciplinary team, working across Ambulatory Services, Aged Care, and the Acute Services inpatient unit to deliver a range of accessible interdisciplinary and integrated ambulatory services aimed at improving and maintaining a person's functional capacity and maximising their potential.
The current incumbent holds two positions: a permanent part-time role (20 hours per week) plus a fixed-term part-time role (20 hours per week) covering leave, totalling 40 hours per week.
The fixed-term role ends 25 January ****, after which the seniority may transition to permanent full-time (40 hours) starting 26 January ****.
What you bring
Experience in community/clinic-based service delivery.
Experience in general rehabilitation, community physiotherapy and chronic diseases.
Demonstrated skills in the provision of physiotherapy treatments, management, support and clinical care.
What you'll do
Undertake clinical assessments, care planning and treatments.
Deliver health promotion and education.
Liaise with general practitioners and other health professionals.
Ensure timely writing of reports and client records including TAC, Work Care, Medicare and NDIS.
Deliver exercise and education components of Cardiac Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Hydrotherapy (at Seymour Sports & Aquatic Centre), Strength Training for over 50's, Oncology – Cancer wellness.
Report to the National Standards Committee Meeting as required.
Supervise and support other team members and students.
