ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
* Undertaking peri-operative nursing care following legislation;
* Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
* Ensuring patient and staff safety;
* Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only);
* Proactively assessing the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual/patient;
* Documenting into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology.
REQUIREMENTS
As the successful applicant, you will possess the following attributes:
* Current AHPRA registration;
* Minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in an acute perioperative environment as an Anaesthetic RN;
* Valid NSW Working with Children check;
* The ability to work by the ACQSHC National Standards;
* Availability for participation in the on-call roster;
* Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
* Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent communication and customer service skills;
* The ability to work well independently and within a team;
* Basic computer skills.
RENUMERATION
$35.46- $49.79 per hour.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
The hospital, located in Newcastle, is a 189-bed, acute, private facility with 11 theatres, including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit. A cardiac suite includes a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit. A private maternity suite, including 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery, is available for families in the Newcastle region. The facility provides specialty care for individuals and their families undergoing cancer treatment and care with an inpatient unit and a day infusion lounge.
