About the role

We're searching for a dynamic VIC Sales Director to join our Melbourne team and spearhead our state-based commercial strategy. This is a pivotal leadership position where you'll drive high performance, identify growth opportunities, and foster key partnerships that deliver integrated advertising solutions maximising impact for our clients and outcomes for Mamamia. You'll lead a team of high-performing Sales leaders, inspire collaboration across the business, and represent Mamamia as a senior commercial leader in the Victorian market. This role offers an exciting opportunity to blend strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution in a purpose-driven environment where your work directly contributes to making the world a better place for women and girls.

Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:

* Lead the VIC Sales team across agency, independent and direct portfolios, setting clear performance expectations, coaching, and driving a culture of accountability and results
* Execute the national commercial strategy at a state level, translating this into actionable initiatives for Victoria
* Set and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets across all verticals
* Identify and convert new business opportunities to grow Mamamia's footprint with agencies and clients
* Retain and grow revenue across existing clients through proactive pipeline management and compelling solutions
* Lead major pitches and negotiations, including escalation management
* Maintain deep relationships with senior agency leaders and client decision-makers across Victoria
* Guide the development of best-in-class integrated media responses, leveraging Mamamia's editorial calendar, digital expertise and content capabilities

Now, a bit about you:

* You bring 15+ years in digital media sales with at least 7+ years leadership experience across multiple sales streams (agency, direct, independent)
* You have a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams and drive commercial results
* You possess strong existing relationships across VIC media agencies and clients
* You have excellent pitch, negotiation, and communication skills
* You bring a strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive innovation
* You're adept at balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution
* You're passionate about contributing to a purpose-driven company that champions women and girls
