About the role:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to join the Aged Care Inpatient Occupational Therapy team at Western Health.
The successful applicant must have well developed assessment and treatment skills in the delivery of evidence based, person centred Occupational Therapy (OT) services to an inpatient aged care cohort. This position works as part of an innovative and energetic multidisciplinary team and involves the supervision of Grade 2 OT and Allied Health Assistant staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical OT leadership and carrying a clinical caseload
* Supervision of clinical staff
* Support and teaching of OT staff
* Clinical education of Occupational Therapy students
* Service development
About You
* Demonstrate commitment to provision of occupation-based client centred occupational therapy practice
* Have extensive knowledge and experience in aged care service provision
* Have best practice skills and knowledge in Dementia and Delirium care
* Have strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills
* Have experience working in multidisciplinary teams
* Demonstrate consolidated clinical leadership skills
* Have experience in quality improvement and research
