About You : Surveying Degree or Diploma (if overseas degree must have met a positive skill assessment in Australia) Position Summary : Linke Linke Surveys (LLS) was founded in the ****s and is led by Alastair Linke, James Linke and Shaune Coates.
Alastair Linke is a Registered Surveyor with the Board of Surveyors and as the Principal Surveyor, and has worked across a number of industries including Defence, Aviation, Government and non-Government projects.
James Linke is highly experienced in aerial surveys utilising LIDAR and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
James is a noted industry leader on the latest in technology and techniques regarding UAV and laser scanning technology.
Shaune Coates as the Survey Manager has more than 30 years of on-the-ground experience and leads a highly qualified and experienced team of surveyors.
LLS projects have included airports, dams, power stations, railways, tunnels and shafts to underground rail services, open cut mines, hydrographic, seismic and GPS surveys, transmission line surveys, large scale road and major bridge works.
Purpose The Surveyor is responsible for: Completing high precision surveys with client and company satisfaction.
Keeping adequate quality assurance records for each individual task the surveyor is responsible for.
Conducting all activities in accordance with the integrated management system.
Checking all instructions for relevant Quality requirements prior to completion of task.
Relationships Internal Relationships: LLS Team members, Directors, Survey Director, Survey Managers, HR Manager, Site Surveyors, Technician Surveyors, Assistant Surveyors, Senior Surveyors, Registered Surveyors, Project Surveyors, Finance team, and Supervisor/s.
External Relationships: Clients, construction and/or site teams.
Key Requirements : Skills Required: Experience in surveying and able to operate unsupervised.
Able to conduct high precision conformance surveys and high precision construction set out surveys.

Ability and experience leading a team of Surveyors and Survey Assistants effectively.
Ability to lead a project on site and manage the clients and external site teams.
Must be able to prepare all Request For Information (RFIs) to the client, prepare all files for the surveyors and survey assistants to utilise in the field.
Prepare reports, volumes, conformance reports, sketches and plans to be issued to the client and review files produced by surveyors and survey assistants in the field.
Computer literacy and competence to pick up a variety of computer software packages, including Google and 12D.
Able to work according to our IMS system and be compliant with its processes and requirements.
Able to manage the strenuous part of the job including long hours and difficult and remote working environments.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent and demonstrated written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem solving skills and able to take accountability for decisions made and responsibility when wrong decisions are made and owning up if there is an issue.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously.
Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships with a range of people/site crew/clients Resilience and proven ability to adapt style and approach to suit varying situations.
Ability to demonstrate the key behaviours and values of LLS.
Ability to follow the Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidelines and attend training where required.
Some out of hours (night shift and weekend work) and travel may be required including possible relocation to another state, fly in and fly out or drive in and drive out, and a valid Australian driver's license is required.
Essential Experience : Previous experience in Surveying required Desirable Experience: Experience in the civil/construction industry would be beneficial Job Responsibility : To operate unsupervised on whatever precision surveys that the surveyor is directed to or required to do by the Project Surveyor/Survey Manager/Supervisor.
High precision conformance surveys that the surveyor is directed or required to do.
High precision construction set out surveys as directed or required to do.
Any other surveys that the surveyor is directed or required to do by LLS.
Having to work in difficult terrains with heavy equipment.
Able to work long hours, including weekends, public holidays, night shift, possible fly in fly out and drive in drive out.
Turning up to pre-start on time and being proactive for organising yourself for the day and week.
If allocated a LLS vehicle, maintaining the responsibility of this vehicle and all the requirements of the Motor Vehicle policy.
Maintaining a billable utilisation of at least 95% of working hours per quarter.
Looking after LLS equipment and instruments.
Completing all SWMS before starting on any project and any other training or inductions required.
Completing timesheets, leave and work summaries on time.
Follow the IMS system and complete all requirements including training within the allocated timeframe.
Direct/supervise LLS Assistant Surveyors as required.
Follow the Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidelines and attend training where required.
Follow the LLS values and culture and attend the LLS monthly team meeting.
Any other duties as requested or required.
