Role Description
This is a contract-based remote role for a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. The primary responsibilities include designing and implementing evidence-based behavior support plans, conducting assessments, and providing direct interventions tailored to the needs of individuals. Additionally, the role involves providing guidance and training to staff and families, monitoring progress, and ensuring compliance with best practices and applicable regulations. Documentation and reporting on client outcomes will also be key aspects of this role. Must have practitioner ID.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans, behavioral assessments, and intervention strategies
* Strong skills in collaboration, consultation, and training with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of person-centered approaches, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices
* Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and program effectiveness
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse populations
* Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field
* Certification or training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) advantage
* Familiarity with state and federal guidelines related to behavioral support plans and services
* Proven ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple priorities effectively
