We are currently seeking a full-time permanent staff member to join our Urban Design team based at our offices in Sunshine.
The role
Reporting to the Coordinator Urban Design, we are seeking a Principal Urban Designer who can bring their skills and experience to:
* Design and lead high profile and complex civic space and streetscape projects
* Plan for our activity centres, public realm, and active transport network
* Provide leadership and champion quality urban design outcomes across Council.
To be considered you will have
* Extensive experience in the planning and design of public realm capital projects
* Strong policy and strategy development experience
* Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills
* Outstanding stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills
* Local government experience is desirable
