Our host business is a specialist manufacturer of plastic components, and you will gain skills in CNC Router Cutting, Laser Cutting, Laser Engraving and Fabrication. Operating out of a contemporary production site & working with a friendly team will make this apprenticeship a fun and rewarding experience.

**The tasks involved**:
**CNC Router**
5 Multicam Routers and our Router staff have years of experience.
Machine material up to 100mm thick and can cut 2D and 3D profiles utilising our CAD / CAM package.
Route the following materials: Acrylic, Polycarbonate, HPDE, ABS, HIPS, Bakerlite, Foam PVC, Celuka, Aluminium, ACM, Brass, Copper, Timber, Plywood, Particle Board and MDF
Machines vary in size with the largest being 4000mm x 2000mm. All the machines are serviced regularly to ensure reliability and accuracy.
**Fabrication**
The team of plastic fabricators are the most experienced on the Sunshine Coast, with a combined experience of over 100 years in the industry.
Fabricate Acrylic, make acrylic fabricated letters, mold acrylic to shape, HDPE welding stick and extrusion
Polycarbonate bending capable of lengths of 3050mm.
**Laser Cutting**
2 CNC laser cutters with a bed size 2500 x 1300. We have the capacity to cut Acrylic up to 20mm thick with a polished edge.
Cut plywood and MDF up to 6mm thick. We can also cut Corflute and Polypropylene.
Large scale projects as well as custom made jobs.
**Laser Engraving**
Laser Engraving service can engrave on the following materials Acrylic, Engraving Laminate, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Timber and Glass.
Largest process area is 2500 x 1300mm.
**About You**:
- Hold a valid Driver’s Licence (due to location and limited public transport)
- Be available to work full time hours Monday - Friday
- Have a desire to be trade qualified with a desire to learn
- Be reliable and committed with a “can do” attitude
- If you hold engineering skills or experience, these can be transferable to this industry due to the type of plant and equipment used.
- Recent school leavers or mature age applicants are encouraged to apply

We provide apprentices and trainees important career guidance and opportunity to earn while they learn. Dedicated Field Officers are assigned to apprentices and trainees to provide ongoing support to completing their chosen trade qualification.
