As a Principal Engineer, you will lead impactful projects in our Urban Development team in Brisbane. This is an opportunity to make your mark in a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Developing budgets and preparing fee proposals.
* Overseeing the UD design and drafting program.
* Leading civil design, including earthworks, drainage, car parks, roads, pavements, and utilities.
* Coordinating design with architects, landscape architects, and engineers at project meetings.
* Managing technical reviews and internal QA processes.
* Undertaking project management, bid support, and leadership duties.
* Setting department goals and developing actionable implementation plans.
* Enhancing engineering application processes.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer who can drive results and deliver high-quality outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
* Chartered Engineer status with NER accreditation.
* At least 15 years' experience in civil design for buildings, urban development, land development, or brownfield projects.
* Strong technical expertise in civil design with knowledge of relevant guidelines, Australian Standards, and Local Council Planning Schemes.
* An understanding of brownfield projects, water environments, and water resource management.
* Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD, 12D, Drains, and Microsoft Project.
* Experience in QA processes and design reviews.
