Senior Payroll Officer | North Sydney/WFH | 6 Month Contract (possible extension) | Preceda | IMMEDIATE START
We're seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to support BAU operations during a major payroll system transition. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone confident managing large, complex payrolls while helping the team navigate change.
About the Role
As the business transitions systems, you'll play a key part in maintaining payroll continuity for approximately over 4000 employees. You'll ensure pay cycles run smoothly, data integrity is maintained, and system outputs are accurate.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and process end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand.
* Maintain BAU payroll operations throughout the system implementation.
* Support system testing, data validation, and parallel runs.
* Troubleshoot payroll issues and liaise with HRIS and project teams.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.
* Provide reporting, reconciliations, and month‐end support.
About You
* 5+ years' payroll experience in large, complex environments.
* Strong working knowledge of Preceda and exposure to Workday highly regarded.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem‐solving skills.
* Able to thrive through change and manage competing priorities.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
