The Role: This is a high-intensity support role. You will be working with participants requiring skilled support to achieve their goals. Your responsibilities will include:
* Complex Care: Implementing Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) and adhering to restrictive practice policies.
* Mental Health Support: Working with participants experiencing complex intellectual disabilities and mental health needs.
* Community Access: Supporting clients with social activities, appointments, and community engagement while managing anxiety-related behaviours.
* Daily Living: Assisting with daily tasks and building capacity for independence.
* Rapport Building: Adapting your approach to suit each individual's personality and goals.
About You: To be successful, you will bring compassion, professionalism, and the resilience to work confidently with complexity.
* Essential: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or similar.
* Essential: Demonstrated experience supporting participants with complex behavioural or mental health needs.
* Essential: Current Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle.
* Essential: Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
* Mandatory Checks: NDIS Worker Screening Check, WWVP, and a Police Check (within the last 6 months).
Desirable (But Not Essential)
* Experience with PEG feeding, hoist transfers, and personal care.
* Note: We provide training for the right candidates who are willing to learn these high-intensity skills.
