Financial Analyst Role
Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team based in Sydney, Australia.
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to provide financial expertise and support to the business. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Monthly Reporting: Prepare monthly reports and analysis for senior management, including vendor management, intercompany reconciliations, and financial analysis.
* Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, review invoices for accuracy and completeness, and oversee bank account setups and user access.
* Accruals and Journal Entries: Prepare accruals schedules and journal entries for all Australian entities.
* Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed monthly cost analysis, identify trends, flag discrepancies, and investigate causes.
* Business Partnering: Work closely with the Procurement team to optimize financial processes and vendor management.
* Automation Initiatives: Contribute to automation initiatives and process improvements.
* System Support: Provide NetSuite system support, troubleshoot issues, and enhance functionality for finance users.
Requirements
* Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Economics, or Finance.
* Certifications: CA/CPA/CIMA certified.
* Experience: 7+ years of overall accounting and finance experience.
* Skills: Ability to analyze and communicate financial information, technical knowledge of IFRS, AASB, and other financial regulations.
* Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, team player, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
