We are a well established restaurant and are looking for a Chef to join our kitchen
team and deliver consistently high quality meals using the freshest of ingredients.
The position is a full time role involving scheduled weekend work. We are offering
the suitable candidate a base salary of $ super (above award wage)
for a 38-hour week.
In this position, you will:
* Contribute to menu development by creating recipes using local and seasonal ingredients, undertake costing and prepare budget
* Control and rotate stock, estimate supplies, undertake timely ordering ensuring within budget
* Inspect kitchen facilities and equipment to ensure operability, cleanliness and meeting safety standards. Arrange maintenance as required
* Co-ordinate and supervise mise-en-place prior to service
* Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions such as weddings, parties, and banquets
* Direct and supervise food preparation, demonstrating techniques as required
* Cook menu items using a variety of techniques
* Train and supervise kitchen staff
We are looking for someone with
* A Minimum of 2 years experience as a chef.
* Relevant Qualification in Commercial Cookery
* Have a creative mindset
* Supervisory skills
* Confident approach and results driven
* Flexibility with hours and approach
* Good communication and technology skills
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure to deliver timely and quality results.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
