About the Role
As the SW Machinery Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of the store, ensuring outstanding customer service, strong sales performance, and efficient workshop operations. You will lead and motivate a team while maintaining the high standards expected of the STIHL, Honda, Polaris, Briggs and Stratton and Toro brands.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily shop operations, including sales, service, inventory, and merchandising
* Lead, train, and motivate retail and workshop staff
* Deliver exceptional customer service and product advice
* Drive sales performance and achieve targets
* Ensure compliance with STIHL and all brand standards and safety requirements
* Oversee stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships
* Handle customer enquiries, warranties, and escalations professionally
About You
* Proven experience in retail or workshop management (power equipment or automotive industry preferred)
* Strong leadership and people‑management skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Sales‑driven with good commercial awareness
* Mechanical knowledge or interest in outdoor power equipment is highly desirable
* Organised, reliable, and able to work under pressure
* Computer literate with experience in POS and inventory systems
