About Our Client

The employer is a public sector organisation within the utilities industry. As a medium-sized entity, they are dedicated to delivering essential services and ensuring sustainable outcomes for the community they serve.

- 12 Month FTC
- $60-$65 per hour plus super

Job Description

- Develop and implement community engagement strategies for flood-related initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and community members.
- Facilitate public meetings, workshops, and consultations to gather input and feedback.
- Prepare and distribute clear and concise communication materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align engagement plans with project goals.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of engagement activities.
- Address community concerns and provide timely responses to inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures in all engagement efforts.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Flood Community Engagement Advisor Should Have

- A strong understanding of community engagement principles and practices.
- Flood knowledge and experience as a community enjoyment advisor
- Local council experience
- Project coordination expertise
- Previous experience in stakeholder management or public engagement roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to various audiences.
- A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and communities.
- Knowledge of flood management or infrastructure projects is desirable.
