Position Description
Our client is a rapidly growing business at the forefront of their industry, with a presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets, and a leader in retail. Due to a team member going on leave, they are seeking a hands-on Payroll Officer to join their large team on a full-time basis. This is a permanent, full-time role.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist with fortnightly and monthly payroll processing
* Reconcile pay and leave entitlements
* Process new starter and leaver paperwork
* Respond to payroll queries
* Manage salary increases and assist with month-end and year-end activities
* Perform administrative duties such as filing, setting up new employee folders, distributing starter packs, collecting police checks, and reimbursing police check expenses
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience with payroll systems
* High attention to detail
* Effective time management and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team
