The Role
We're looking for a
Commercial Manager
to lead our FP&A function and partner closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic insights and performance improvements across the business.
Working alongside the Finance Manager and Financial Reporting team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping financial decision-making, driving value-added analysis, and fostering a high-performance culture within the finance function.
This role is perfect for a commercially minded leader who enjoys combining strategic thinking, hands-on analysis, and strong stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Do
* Lead the group-wide annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting models, partnering closely with the Finance Manager
* Oversee and support month-end reporting, including divisional project reviews, job bag margins, revenue recognition and client invoicing preparation
* Provide insightful commercial reporting and analysis across Sales, COGS, margins, and cash flow for the Board, Executive Team and divisional leaders
* Business partner with senior leaders, executive teams and support functions to drive performance, influence decisions and improve commercial outcomes
* Build and maintain financial models to assess business activities, strategic initiatives and growth opportunities
* Lead cash flow forecasting (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) and support working capital management
* Support pricing models, client contractual rates and annual rate reviews
* Assist with financial audits for both parent and subsidiary entities for Australian statutory reporting
* Support global stakeholder queries and cross-border reporting requirements
* Lead ad-hoc projects including system upgrades, process improvements, finance transformations and ROI-driven initiatives
* Support due diligence and financial assessments for potential acquisitions and new business opportunities
* Assist in maintaining and strengthening the internal control framework
* Lead, mentor and develop the Commercial Analyst role, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance
What You'll Bring
* Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; CA/CPA qualified (preferred)
* Strong business partnering experience with senior financial and non-financial stakeholders
* Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive commercial outcomes
* Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, cost control and commercial analysis
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems (SAP/HFM highly regarded)
* Strong leadership capability with a passion for developing high-performing teams
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
* Highly organised, adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
