Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Tax Accountant based in Beecroft, NSW. You will work directly with the Senior Partner and play a key leadership role in managing an offshore team of five accountants.
You will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance and advisory work for a broad portfolio of clients, including high-income individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs. This role involves hands-on technical work, team leadership, and direct client engagement.
You will collaborate closely with the Partner to understand each client's full financial picture and deliver practical, strategic tax solutions that genuinely improve their outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and review tax compliance work for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs
* Provide tax advisory services to business owners and high-net-worth clients
* Lead and manage an offshore team of five, including workflow, quality control, and training
* Work directly with the Partner on complex tax matters and client strategies
* Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and provide clear, practical advice
* Review financial statements and tax returns for accuracy and compliance
* Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes through better structures and tax planning
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong experience in tax compliance and tax advisory
* Proven ability to prepare and review financial statements
* Solid accounting and technical tax knowledge
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CPA, CA, or similar professional qualification preferred
* Experience in financial planning or broader advisory is an advantage
* Previous experience managing or mentoring staff is highly regarded
